ODA REMEMBRANCE WEEKEND 2016 - 12th & 13th November | St. David's College Old Davideans Association

This year's ODA Reunion Weekend is on November 12th - 13th at St David's College.....

Saturday mornings are now a little different at St. David's. Instead of lessons there is now an extensive activity programme with many pupils off site. However, we have organised some great activities for Old Davideans to get involved in before lunch in the dining room and the usual afternoon sporting events afterwards.

Some of the senior pupils are keen to challenge Old Davideans to a cross country competition. Take on the new course and see how your legs fare! There will also be climbing and shooting competitions as normal. All commencing after morning coffee and finishing just before lunch. Full day's programme to follow! If you would like to be involved, do turn up or contact me, Kate Russell if you would like any extra information - sec@stdavidscollegeoda.co.uk

Dan Lycett, Old Davidean and Head of PE is organising the afternoon Rugby Match. Visit the Old Davidean's Facebook page to get in touch with Dan and other rugby enthusiasts! We also have a Netball Tournament, being organised by Mrs Jones (ne Redfern). Both taking place at 2pm. Before these sports events begin, there will be a tug of war tournament at 1.30pm on the games pitches to start off the afternoon competitions! Old Davideans and current pupils House event obviously!

As tradition would have it, the ODA will be hosting an evening dinner on Saturday, November 12th in the Minstrel Hall. We are starting with 6.30pm drinks reception to sit for dinner at 7pm. After coffee and speeches, the ODA lottery will be drawn. For those of you who have participated in the monthly payments, there are some great cash prizes to be won including a fantastic £500 first prize! There will also be a raffle and auction on the evening with prizes donated by Old Davideans (please do get in touch if you would like to donate something). The ODA is fundraising for a couple of things…the first being ODA sports and humanitarian trip scholarships for current pupils and the second, a new sports pavillion.

On Sunday, the Rev Tim Hall will be leading the Remembrance service. This year's guest speakers are Beki and Ed Grey. Beki, an Old Davidean will be speaking about her faith journey training as an architect, setting up her new business and married life a year in. As ever, there will be tea/coffee in the Minstrel Hall after the service.

The meal has a limited number of places so do get in touch as soon as possible to book your place and avoid disappointment. We very much hope to see you in November!
