ODA Remembrance Weekend 2019 - Celebrating 50 Years of the ODA - SATURDAY 9TH & SUNDAY 10TH NOVEMBER | St. David's College Old Davideans Association

ODA REMEMBRANCE WEEKEND - SATURDAY 9TH & SUNDAY 10TH NOVEMBER

We are starting an exciting year of "Celebrating 50 Years of the ODA" with our annual reunion weekend when we welcome all Old Davideans back to SDC. It's a packed weekend of sport, socialising and a Minstrel Hall buffet party on Saturday and a Remembrance service followed by lunch in the school dining room on Sunday. We are so excited to see as many Old Davideans as possible from ALL decades socialising and competing together. Message your friends and come in year groups - it's going to be fun!

We welcome Colin Jones, former SDC DT teacher (who actually built the first CDT Department in the summer of 1975 with Keith Lennard). He will be meeting and greeting at coffee in the Minstrel Hall at 10.30am on Saturday and speaking at the evening event.

The New Format for the Dinner on Saturday November 9th:

LAST YEAR OUR NEW FORMAT WORKED WELL AND WE ARE BRINGING IT BACK THIS YEAR.

At 7pm there will be the usual reception in the Old Library with Prosecco and after that we will move into the Minstrel Hall where there will be a two course buffet set up on the dining table. Cost will be around £20. There you will pick up your buffet and either walk round with it, socialising with friends, sit down somewhere comfortable in the Old Library, Headmaster's Study or Minstrel Hall, or stand and eat at one of the special tall buffet tables. Dessert will be served as a second course. There will be a bar in the Old Library where you can buy drinks. After everyone has finished, we will have a raffle and an auction.

This new format gives more people the opportunity to enjoy Saturday evening in school, with much interaction, socialising and fun.

Old Davideans are already booked in so please start to let us know if you are hoping to attend.

On Sunday, the Rev Tim Hall will be leading the Remembrance Service in the Assembly Hall. Guest speaker to be arranged. As ever, there will be tea/coffee in the Minstrel Hall after the service and Sunday lunch served in the dining room.
